Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Brandner earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 2009 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2009 after a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2004 from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
Her clinical externship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis, TN included a strong emphasis in ocular disease management including the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
She continued her training specializing in comprehensive family eye care and specialty contact lens fitting in Birmingham, AL. Through these experiences, Dr. Brandner developed a particular interest in the management of diabetic eye and dry eye diseases as well as the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. Additionally, Dr. Brandner is prepared and trained to help with other eye conditions such as conjunctivitis, foreign body removal and the treatment and management of ocular surface disease including blepharitis.
Dr. Brandner is actively involved in the American Optometric Association as well as the Delaware Optometric Association. When she is not caring for the visual needs of her patients, Dr. Brandner is busy at home raising her three young children.
